Labeled as the ultimate beauty haul, Sephora's 2015 superstars favourite collection offers a lot for your money. At $90 it features full size, travel size and deluxe samples http://www.sephora.com/superstars-P400846?skuId=1736339

From primer to tools, eye shadow to mascara, this 13 piece beauty kit contains Sephora's must haves:

Beauty Blender
The coveted makeup up sponge is amazing. Blends foundations so well.
It currently retails for $28 and is available on Sephora Canada and in most Sephora stores ( In St Johns, NL you can also purchase at Landells Clinic or The Signature Salon) http://www.sephora.com/beautyblender-P228913?skuId=1151869&icid2=beautyblender_bestsellers_carousel_ca_brand:beautyblender_p228913_image

Benefit They're Real Mascara
This mascara is very popular. It definitely gives you that faux lash look without the glue. Im not a fan because i find it hard to remove (even with their special remover). Included in this set is a 0.1oz deluxe sample. If you like this mascara you can purchase at Sephora or Shoppers Drug Marts Beauty Boutiques (Optimum points!!) http://www.sephora.com/they-re-real-lengthening-volumizing-mascara-P289307?skuId=1395482

Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight
This is a full size product 0.21oz http://www.sephora.com/chubby-stick-sculpting-highlight-P393634?skuId=1674720 and part of the reason i was drawn to this set. i have been wanting to try this. its amazing!! perfect! and layering the Laura Mercier matte highlight = perfection. It retails for $26 and can be purchased at Sephora, Shoppers Drug Mart or Sears.

Lancome Drama Liquid-pencil
This black eyeliner is full size 1.2g and retails for $31 http://www.sephora.com/dramaliner?skuId=1727460 this liner promises not to budge for 24 hours and comes in a ton of different colours. if it lives up to the hype i will definiflty pick up some more shades. I wish Sephora threw in a different shade besides black (they included a black liquid liner so something different would have been better).

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Highlight
A deluxe sample of the brands top seller http://www.sephora.com/matte-radiance-baked-powder-compact-P379031?skuId=1522184 its shimmery but not too heavy. it works well onto of cream highlighters for strobing

Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer-Hydrating Primer
This product is on my list of items to try. i don't have many makeup forever products and i have heard nothing but good things about the line http://www.sephora.com/step-1-skin-equalizer-P393965?skuId=1688837
They have so many primers to choose from. A 0.16oz Hydrating deluxe sample is included in this kit. Mattifying is definitely on my list to try.

Nars Cosmetics-Dual Intensity Eyeshadow
This kit includes a 0.05oz full size of the shimmering topaz shade Himalia. I have never been a fan of Nars shadows in the past but i have not yet tried the silky dual intensity formula http://www.sephora.com/dual-intensity-eyeshadow-P387263?keyword=NARS%20Dual-Intensity%20Eyeshadow%20P387263&skuId=1614452&country_switch=ca&_requestid=200613 This shadow retails for $36

This is a full size product 0.16oz that retails for $29 http://www.sephora.com/stay-all-day-waterproof-liquid-eye-liner-P253818?skuId=1221084 i haven't tried this product before but i have heard that its good. it comes in a bunch of different colours which is fantastic if it holds up (i love grey eyeliner and they have a shade alloy that looks super nice. i was surprised of the lack of purple shades).

Tarte Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer in Park Ave Princess
This includes a 1.22oz deluxe sample of the contour stick. Park Ave princess is the lightest of the three available sides http://www.sephora.com/the-sculptor-contouring-face-slenderizer-P385762?skuId=1604925

Spring 2015 beauty empties

I completed a major spring cleaning if my makeup. I definitely was buying too much. I threw out anything that was old or almost empty. Other things I gave away. I wasn't using it but one of my friends might like it (better than throwing it away) most things in the photo I will not be repurchasing. You got to try things to learn if you like, love or hate it right!! I was so disappointed in the Dior cream shadow pots. They were too shimmery and dried out too fast. The only mascara I will repurchase out the empties below is perversion ( and I prefer the smaller tube). Super disappointed in guerlains mascara. It clumped my lashes together into spikes. I'm currently using benefit roller girl and ysl baby doll. I prefer that type of brush to apply mascara. I am definitely changing up my beauty scene and sticking to what I know I will like... More on this later

Empties (may 2015)

A little review of my recent beauty product empties.

Chanel lait confort creamy cleansing milk face and eyes- beauty scent. Left my skin feeling hydrated and clean. I might pick this up full size.

Chanel Le blanc immediate brightening oil gel makeup remover- great fresh scent. I didn't like the formula. I don't like any products that has a oil component. I won't be purchasing.

glam glow super mud- I use this weekly on my tzone. Can't live without. Will be repurchasing. It works try it!

Clinique 7 day scub- a light weight gentle scrub. I prefer my clarisonic to remove dead skin. I usually purchase this product when I travel. Both my husband and I use it. We usually bring this instead of the clarisonic and his lush sea salt scrub.

Clairins eau de purete nettoyante express- I didn't like this product. I found it irritating on my face ( it's for oily skin and the mint essential water might be the irritant for me). My skin is combination not really oily. I won't be repurchasing. If you have oily skin and you are looking for a micellar try this one.

avene micellaire- this was a gift. I found it comparable to the original bioderma micellar water. I won't be repurchasing this product. If you enjoy bioderma try this product. I use the bioderma sebum. Great for my skin.

Philosophy renewed hope in a jar- I expected great things from this but I wasn't impressed. Not as hydrating as the original in my opinion. I won't be purchasing this product.

Wish body butter- I got this in my burch box and I love it. The scent is amazing, it moisturizers and is not greasy like most body butters. I wish it was in a store nearby so I could get it. I might order it online. I also am currently trying their shave lotion. My only complaint is that it's very thin and I have to use a lot if the product. Very moisturizing and leave my legs soft. A way better alternative to the Gillette and skintimate products.

Fekkai PrX reparatives shampoo and conditioner- I received this in a luxe box. Love the scent and love the product especially the conditioner. I have already repurchased the conditioner. Love it

2013 Favourites

Another year has came and went. 2013 was a fun year for me with trips to Florida, New Orleans and the Dominican Republic. I also got a chance to do some shopping and try some new products. Below are my favourites from the year :)

Hunter Boots (adjustable back and fleece stockings)

I decided to give these a try and glad that i did. Not only are my feet dry the boots are cute. I tried on the originals but couldn't get them over my leg. Thankfully they come in adjustable backs!! I also got cute fleece stocking which help keep my feet nice and warm. My Burberry rain boots are more fitted and don't allow for a stocking. I keep them for Spring/fall when its warmer.

Dior Lipstick/Gloss

I have tried YSL and Chanel but never Dior. So when it was available here in St. Johns for purchase i decided to give it a go.  Its not cheep but lower in cost then other expensive brands. I like the Dior Addict best. its very sheer and more like a lip butter. The Dior Addict Extreme has a lot of pigment if your looking for a more defined look. Rouge Dior is my newest purchase. I have only worn it a couple of times but its very moisturizing. I got the shade 169 Grege a pinky/beige. Its a great everyday look. The Addict Gloss is not sticky at all. But living in a windy city i only wear my lipgloss when my hair is up. Im not a fan of lipgloss in my hair ;) (on a side note Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector is still my favourite! while it wasn't purchased in 2013 it still a favourite)

Bronzer

Every makeup tutorial these days always includes bronzer. I gave up tanning beds a few years ago and have been rocking the pale look lol but sometimes you need a little pick me up and a bit of colour on your face. I have tried so many products to be disappointed over and over. Smashbox halo, Estee Lauder, Rimmel...all made me look ORANGE. So while at my local Dior counter i tried on their version. I liked it so bought it and I wear it everyday!!! love it worth a try if your looking for something more natural. Not to mention the packaging is gorgeous and it comes with a little kabuki brush for application.

Ikea's Helmer

My makeup collection is growing and I needed to find something neat for storing it. I didn't have enough room for the Alex drawers so I went with the helmer. Its smaller so not good for someone with a ton of stuff and it is loud (opening/shutting the drawers). Overall though i really like it. It had to be put together and I tasked my husband with that job. After it was assembled I was faced with another problem. My makeup was not that organized after all-it kept moving around in there when I opened the drawers. I should have gotten the liners that went with the helmer but forgot, and i wasn't paying more in shipping for what they were worth (there is no IKEA in NL). Imagine my glee when I was at my local dollarramma and came across clear containers. I got a few to see if they fit and they DID!!! I went back and got more to fit all the drawers!! very happy with the result and by far my favourite purchase of the year!!

Burberry Scarves

So soft, classic and I love them!! Plus they go with anything

Clinique Moisture Surge-Tinted Moisturizer and CC Creme

As someone with sensitive skin I don't use foundation. Doesn't matter what it is I breakout (Armani, Urban decay, Dior, Chanel...). I also tried several BB cremes and they didn't work for me.  Oil free=clogged pores.
I have tried Clinique moisture cream and it worked really well for me so I decided to try their tinted moisturizer. LOVED it. Great for summer time. Now for the rest of the year i needed more coverage so after reading a blog post from My sweet Valentine (my-sweetvalentine.com) she recommended the CC creme. I got a sample before buying it and fell in love. Now its part of my daily routine. light, airy and light coverage. AND above all. No breakouts!!

Hand Creme

Its always recommended to I finally got some in Florida to try. AMAZING. I understand why its voted the best. The foot cream is good too.
