Urban Decay Naked Palettes 

I have never been a fan of huge palette sets, basically because I'm afraid that I am stuck with colours that I will never use. I watch YouTube tutorials all the time and bloggers rave about the Naked Palettes. So when the Naked Basics came out I decide to give it a try. Very glad that I did. I use all of the colours. Now I have learned that Urban Decay is releasing the Naked 3 palette. I did some searching online and found out that it was released early in France. I saw the photos and the colours are amazing. They seem to be more shimmery and light compared to the original UD Palettes. Im definitely going to purchase and try it out. Im also thinking about getting the Naked 1 and 2 to complete my set. Eye and Lip colour favourites 

Only this past year have I really gotten into using/liking neutral colours. I have always experimented with colour and thought of nudes to be well-boring. 

Currently in my nude/neutrals collection:

EYESHADOWS

MAC- Samoa Silk, Motif, Arena, Dazzlelight, Era, Honesty, Soft Brown, Wood Winked, Mulch, Satin Taupe; Pro longwear in Sweet Satisfaction and paint pot in Groundwork

Smashbox- photo-op eyeshadow trio in multi-flash (Naked, Crisp and Doe). MY favourite NUDE shadows ever. I have been using this for 2 years and I'm on my third compact. I can't find a dupe for the doe or crisp shades. The doe shade is the perfect light taupe brown for my complexion. 

Dior- 5 couleurs in 030 Incognito. I read about this palate for years and I finally spent the $60 to get it. Its ok. I only usually wear the bottom right grey/taupe colour. The pigmentation isn't as good as MAC shadows and I won't be re-purchasing. 

Urban Decay-Naked Basics. This is the only UD naked palate that I own and I do like it. Especially the naked 2 shade. 

EYELINERS

Burberry-eye definer in Midnight Brown. I got this in Hawaii at a Nordstrom counter to try and I'm so glad i did. THE BEST. I use it for lining my upper and lower lids close to the lash line. I love this so much that I don't want to use it because I have no way of ordering another one :( no burberry counter east of Toronto

NARS-large than life long-wear eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte. I got this to line my lower water line. When I first opened it i sharpened it. not realizing it was a twist up and ruined it. well i have to extend it so the plastic doesn't cut my eye. note to self. don't sharpen eyeliners until your sure they don't twist up. I never use this. Its just something that I forget to do.

Dior-Eyeliner Pencil in 063 Elegant taupe. What a beautiful shade. Comes out so nice on your hand. But try and put it on your eye and you will nearly tear your lid off. doesn't go on smooth like Urban Decay 27/7 Liners. Needless to say. I don't use this one and would never repurchase a Dior eyeliner based on the experience :(

MAC- Powerpoint eye pencil in Bountiful Brown. A nice brown shade and easy to apply. 

Urban Decay-24/7 Glide on Shadow Pencil in Mushroom. Great formula but keep the cap on tight or it will dry out. 

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencils: mushroom, underground, demolition and whiskey. I love these new shades and how they changed the outside packaging to reflect the formula. Matte for Matte, shimmery for shimmer. Genius. 

LIPS

DIOR Addict Lipstick in 333 Nude,  Addict Extreme 316 Incognito, Addict Gloss in 223. Love the formula. Glossy, moisturizing and light. 

NARS lip laquer in chelsea girls. Love this colour but this stuff is sticky. I only wear when my hair is pinned up because my hair ends up getting stuck in it. no fun.

YSL- Rouge pur in 133 Nude Beige. This ones an old one but the colour is a great dark nude with a slight pink shimmer. I haven't found anything else like it.

MAC Creamsheen in Creme Cup and Amplified in Blankety. Gorgeous shades but very drying on the lips

Closet Update-DIY

Weekend Project-DIY

On this gloomy and wet day I decided to give my closet a mini makeover. 

I love to save shopping bags and keep them on my closet shelf but I noticed that they were collecting dust and not looking so good. So off to Michaels Craft store I went and purchased some white frames. I had to cut the bags to make them fit but I'm pleased with the result. While at Michaels I got an organizing cube and used that for magazine, book and nicknack storage- B

Fall Favourites

I really love summer and I really don't like it when it ends. But my favourite part about fall is the colours! My favourites this year are Emerald Green and Navy Blue (seriously inspired by Emma Stones Burberry look). So I went on a mission to find some great products in these shades.

Dior Diorshow Fusion Mono in 281 Cosmos
Julep Nail Vernis in Lacey

Navy and Emerald are two very dramatic shades but are surprisingly wearable with neutrals. 


Some unexpected extras that I also purchased:

Urban Decay Naked Flushed. I have mixed feelings about this. I think I may like it better in the summer when I have a tan. The colours are a bit dark for me right now. 

Urban Decay Naked Basics. ok I am probably the only person who doesn't own the Naked and Naked 2 palettes but I'm not a palette lover. So I thought to give this one a try and I am glad that I did. I love the Naked 2 shade. So much that I have been using it everyday neglecting all my other shadows

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Shadow Pencil in Mushroom. I am drawn to this gold/taupe shade and I end up buying it from every brand. I already own the 24/7 Eyeliner in the same shade and I was afraid they were too similar. But in fact they are different shades. The eyeshadow is more taupe, the eyeliner more brown. 

Dior Diorblush in 876 Happy Cherry  Wow if you want lasting colour try this blush. Im seriously impressed and will be getting a few more shades.
