New Beauty Review-may 2015

the end of May is rapidly approaching and summer is near. I can't wait to break out the summer dresses and sandles. Over the past month I have tried a number of new beauty products and here is a little review

Givenchy Lilas d'Exception nail polish-great formula. I like the greyish-purple shade more for fall months. Happy with this purchase.

YSL Gris deco nail polish-ok formula. Opaque. Love the dove grey shade. I expected better from this brand. It could just be the formula for this colour. I'm reluctant to purchase another YSL Polish.

bare minerals powders in well rested, clear radiance and warmth. I picked up this 500 point gift at Sephora. One of my favourite you tubers Makeup by Ali recommended the well rested powder and I thought it was a treat time to try the products. I honestly don't like loose powders. I always make the biggest mess. I found the warmth shade to be too dark for me right now. I need to try it this summer when I have a bit of a tan. I use the well rested powder underneath my eyes on top of my concealer. It's very light and doesn't cake.

YSL touché eclait- I had this years ago and received it as a gift for Christmas. I was just using it under my eyes but now I know it can be used for more ( see photo). I trace around my lips and use to highlight my brown brone and cheekbones. Great product. I will definitely repurchase.

Eye Brightening Favourites

dark circles under my eyes are a major pain. I am always looking up reviews on products or seeing what the latest trends are on YouTube. Lately I am using the following products. I still haven't found an amazing under eye coverup.
I use benefit erase paste in the darkest part of my under eye. I apply with Marc Jacobs corrector brush (it's angled and I can dab the right about of product where I need it and blend withe the other side), I use my regular Mac concealer on the rest if my under eye, blending together. I then set with bare minerals well rested powder. I use YSL touché eclait to brighten above the crease and aromg my brow bone. Next I use either a nude or white pencil to line my lower lid ( nude for daytime or bright white liner if I'm going for a more dramatic look). I'm still searching for a magic under eye concealer that really covers dark circles completely. I'm convinced that I still look tired with all this camouflage lol
